As a result of the study an exceptionally high activity of the plant components in particular the plant roots red oil and pinostrobin in the destruction of Helicobacter was established.

Anti-ulcer effect. Boesenbergia Rotunda has long been used as a folk medicine to treat ulcers by residents in Thailand and Indonesia. The anti-ulcer effect of the methanolic extract of Boesenbergia and its pure compound pinostrobin has recently been investigated by Dr. Abdelwahab. Giardiasis. The inhibitory activity of Boesenbergia Rotunda against the simple parasite - Giardia lamblia, which causes giardiasis, was previously clinically proven by Dr. Songwa Savangyaroen, based at Songkla University in Thailand in 2005. Giardiasis is an inflammation of the small intestine that causes chronic loose stools, but the main problem is that this parasitic infection causes chronic disease.

Opisthorchiasis. Opisthorchis viverrini is a parasite of the Opisthorchiidae family that causes cholangiocarcinoma in humans. Infection most often occurs through eating raw fish.
